Buaiteoir is not a traditional band for many reasons. First all the musicians that play the songs never have seen each others except by the internet. Second it’s a project about Folk Metal from Brazil but the influences are not Brazilian folk music. Andrade lives in Recife, Pernambuco - Brazil. Since 1999, when he started his first band, he knew something was missing in his music. For ten years he studied and researched musical styles and rhythms until it was presented to the Folk. Thus, the interest in the genre grew and was beyond sound. Known bands and ethnic instruments added to Heavy Metal. Since 2010 has been developing studies Tin Whistle, Low Whistle, Bodhran, Mandolin, Bouzouki, Hurdy Gurdy and Bag pipes. Whenever it is possible to develop knowledge of new ethnic instruments and cultures around the world.

Buaiteoir é um projeto de Folk Metal do pernambucano João Andrade. O idealizador convidou, um parceiro de longa data, Joabson “Branntwein” Silva (Uncivilized) para gravar a primeira DEMO, intitulada Darvaza ou As portas do Inferno em setembro de 2013. No ano seguinte conheceu o potencial do também guitarrista Guilherme Silva (Pandemmy) que junto a Branntwein participou da gravação do EP Tionscnamh (origem em gaélico) no ano de 2014. Andrade vive em Recife, Pernambuco - Brasil. Desde 1999, quando fundou sua primeira banda de Heavy Metal sabia que algo estava faltando a sonoridade. Ao longo de 10 anos estudou e pesquisou sobre estilos e ritmos musicais até chegar ao folk que comumente confundem com música Celta. Desta forma o interesse foi crescendo e estendeu-se além do som. Conhecendo novas bandas e grupos procurou aprender a tocar alguns instrumentos técnicos para adicioná-los ao Heavy Metal. De 2010 para cá estudou Tin Whistle, Low Whistle, Bodhran, Mandolin, Bouzouki, Hurdy Gurdy and Gaita de fole. E sempre que tem a oportunidade, procura conhecer novos instrumentos e culturas pelo mundo.
